So today i watched Bridge to Terabithia with my sister... and you know what i realized... our lives aren't long enough to conform to what everyone else wants you to be like. In the movie there is a girl named Leslie, and she is so unique.. she wears whatever she wants, and her imagination is absolutely endless... she can think of anything and make it seem real to her. She is different, and guess what ?? she is so happy and enjoys her life. With the fact that she's unique comes fun and even though shes different, that's what makes her life exciting. She can walk into an old forest and all of the sudden it appears as a magical kingdom, that she has made up every part of it. She lived the best times of her life there, and its because she had a friend, and her imagination to keep her happy. She doesn't need t.v or any video games to keep her occupied, she has her thoughts and now she has her magical kingdom to share with her best friend Jessie.
I think its stupid how we conform to wear the same things as other people and how we are to scared to be unique because we think people will ridicule us because of it. But if we do become our own person , our life will get better and we will find ourselves so much happier. So personally i'm going to try and make my life a little more unique and be who i wanna be and do what i wanna do. All in the effort to make my life better, its amazing what you can do if you keep your mind wide open.

hey emily
wow this seems prety dead compared to facebook!
i agree with you. sometimes its really unessecary to change ourselves in order to fit in. what good will it do if people don't like you for who you are. i like how you've realized that things like your clothing and stuff doesn't really matter, and you don't need your peers' approval ( although it does appear to be hard ) because it's totally their loss of they don't appreciate you for who you are!
[Romans 12:2] "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
your post reminded me of this verse. one of my favorites. as Believers, we will get ridiculed and excluded but it is all for His greater plan.
